The Canadian League of Composers is turning 75!
If you’re an ensemble, performer, or presenter planning to program Canadian works during your 2025/26 or 2026/27 season, the CLC would like to support your efforts to highlight Canadian composers and their music.
We’re offering a $750 sponsorship for one concert from each of our six designated regions: Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Northern Territories, Prairies, Ontario, Québec, and Atlantic.
What can this $750 be used for?
- Boost your post-concert reception with food, beverages or live music
- Cover the travel or accommodation costs of a programmed Canadian composer to give a pre-concert talk or other audience engagement/outreach
- Boost the audio-visual production or archival recording of your concert
- Promotional campaigns or programme materials
- Something else – you decide!
The CLC will also help promote your concert through our social media channels and our newsletter.
To apply, please fill out this form. The application deadline is July 13, 2025 and successful applicants will be notified by August 4, 2025. Applications will be reviewed by the members of our Executive Committee.
Eligibility Requirements
- The ensemble, performer, or presenter is committed to Canadian music, and/or Canadian composers and sound artists.
- The concert must be professionally presented, with musicians compensated in line with local standards (ie. union rates).
- Concert programs must include a minimum of one Canadian work; programs including more than one will be given preference.
Ideally at least one of the programmed works is written by a member of the Canadian League of Composers.
