Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au Portugal du 30 mai au 7 juin, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement a mis en lumi\u00e8re un total de 11 \u0153uvres de compositeur\u00b7trices ayant des liens \u00e9troits avec le Canada \u2014 soit le plus grand nombre apr\u00e8s les \u0153uvres des artistes du pays h\u00f4te\u202f! En plus des deux \u0153uvres officielles de la Section canadienne par\u00a0Roxanne Turcotte et Chris Sivak, des pi\u00e8ces de Alfredo Santa Ana, Claude Vivier, Emily Doolittle, Bekah Simms, Barry Truax, Gilles Gobeil, James Tenney, Jim O\u2019Leary et D\u00e1niel P\u00e9ter Bir\u00f3 ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><em>C\u2019est avec une grande fiert\u00e9 que j\u2019ai assist\u00e9 aux World New Music Days 2025 \u00e0 titre de premi\u00e8re d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9e de la Section canadienne. La pr\u00e9sence du Canada au festival a \u00e9t\u00e9 remarquable et soulign\u00e9e par les autres d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9\u00b7es.<\/em> <em>Le pays h\u00f4te n\u2019est jamais tenu de programmer plus d\u2019une \u0153uvre par section nationale, ce qui rend d\u2019autant plus flatteur le fait que plusieurs \u0153uvres canadiennes aient \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es. Cette ann\u00e9e, plusieurs soumissions ind\u00e9pendantes canadiennes retenues, combin\u00e9es \u00e0 la d\u00e9cision de Miso Music Portugal de programmer Lonely Child de Claude Vivier et Last Spring in Toronto de James Tenney, ont fait en sorte que plus d\u2019\u0153uvres li\u00e9es au Canada ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es que pour tout autre pays, \u00e0 l\u2019exception du pays h\u00f4te (qui en comptait plus de 40\u202f!).
