In addition, six more Canadian works were selected for inclusion at the festival:  Alfredo Santa Ana\u2019s The River of Hellos and Goodbyes (submitted by Music on Main) Emily Doolittle\u2019s Gannetry (individual submission) Gilles Gobeil\u2019s Un cercle hors de l'arbre (individual submission) Jim O\u2019Leary\u2019s Susan Pennefather Gray (individual submission) Bekah Simms\u2019 spore wind ii: swamp thing (individual submission) Barry Truax\u2019s What The Waters Told Me (individual submission)  \u201cThe ISCM Canadian Section is extremely pleased that the international jury has chosen two works from the section for presentation in Portugal: Chris Sivak\u2019s Alouette Meets Her Maker and Roxanne Turcotte\u2019s Masques Et Dichotomies have been chosen to represent Canada on the international stage in Porto and Lisbon. The works were praised by this year\u2019s Canadian Section jury, described as  \u201cexcellent\u201d and \u201cvery creative\u201d (Sivak) and \u201cstriking\u201d and \u201ccompelling\u201d (Turcotte.)  The Canadian Section also extends its congratulations to the six other Canadian composers whose works have been selected by the international jury. Ces \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 salu\u00e9es par le jury de la Section canadienne, d\u00e9crites comme \u00ab\u00a0excellente\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0tr\u00e8s cr\u00e9ative\u00a0\u00bb (Sivak) et \u00ab\u00a0frappante\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0convaincante\u00a0\u00bb (Turcotte).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La Section canadienne aimerait aussi f\u00e9liciter les six autres compositaires canadienx dont les \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es par le jury international.
