To become a member of the CLC:

1) Please visit Membership Categories and Criteria to determine which type of membership you are eligible for and to view that membership’s Required Application Materials.

2) Prepare the Required Application Materials, if relevant, for the membership category you wish to apply for.

3) Submit your Required Application Materials, if relevant, by electronic or hard copy, and an application Email or Letter of Intent that:

a) notes the type of membership you are applying for;

b) provides your full contact information (name, address, email, phone, website); and

c) indicates your year of birth.

You will receive a response from the CLC upon the receipt of your materials. Professional membership applications require approval from the CLC’s Membership Committee and may take up to a month to process. The CLC Administrator will notify you when your application has been approved.

Please note that Associate Composers of the CMC do not need to submit documentation other than the application Email or Letter of Intent to become a Professional member (see Membership Categories and Criteria for more information).

Successful applicants will receive a welcome package that contains:

• A letter of welcome from the President of the CLC;
• A list of CLC Council members and Committee chairs;
• A schedule of up-to-date CLC recommended commissioning rates;
• The most recent ISCM Canadian Section promotional CD produced for ISCM World New Music Days.
